At 8:30 a.m. on September 9, 2019, the Opening Ceremony and Beginning Education of Zhejiang Wanli College Sino-German College of Design and Communication Class 2019 was successfully held in the Academic Lecture Hall of Qianhu Campus, with all leaders, faculty and staff of Sino-German College and all new students of Sino-German College Class 2019 attending the ceremony.
The ceremony was hosted by Mr. Ding Yajun, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Academy, and Mr. Dai Siyu served as the interpreter.
Mr. Qian Guoying, Vice President of Zhejiang Wanli College and Dean of Sino-German College, Prof. Ute Roseler, Vice President of University of Applied Sciences of Design and Communication in Hamburg, Prof. Ansgar Eidens, Head of Department of Brand Design, Prof. Joachim Bongard, Head of Department of Management, attended the ceremony and made a speech.
During the ceremony, Ms. Qian Guoying welcomed all the new students. In her speech, she encouraged the new students to remember the school motto of "self-improvement, perseverance and perseverance", to adapt to the development trend of international education, to improve their English level, to take up the responsibility of successors, and to fulfill their dreams of internationalization and successorship.
Prof. Roseler shared the school's philosophy of "intercultural and interdisciplinary" as an important part of the school, and introduced the "three perspectives" that the school offers to its students: academic, professional and social. She said that the cooperation between the two schools should form a "brotherhood in branding".
Professor Eidens stated, "Design is a core competency that runs through the development of an organization." Pointing out the importance of brand design learning for the new students.
