Welcoming the Chinese New Year with the Consul General in Hamburg! Sino-German 2+2 students celebrated Chinese New Year with international students from different countries

On the occasion of the Chinese New Year of the Snake, at the invitation of the Chinese Consulate General in Hamburg, representatives of the 2+2 students of the Sino-German Branding Department celebrated the Chinese New Year of the Snake with people from all walks of life in China and Germany, as well as international students from various countries. The event was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Cong Wu, the Consul General of China in Hamburg, and the guests included the Speaker of the Parliament of the City of Hamburg, Mr. Fetter, the Vice Speaker of the Parliament, Mr. Schmidt, the Speaker of the Parliament of the City of Lübeck, Schumann, and other friends from all walks of life in the consular district, as well as the representatives of the Chinese organizations, Chinese diaspora, and international students.

The Spring Festival entertained with a warm atmosphere and a strong flavor of Chinese New Year. The students not only appreciated the cultural performances created by the German artists, but also deeply experienced the strong sense of family and national sentiment and cultural identity during the activities.

While celebrating the New Year, Sino-German students actively interacted with international students from different countries and carried out colorful cultural exchange activities. They invited international students from different countries to taste Chinese food together, taught them how to make dumplings, cook New Year's Eve dinner, put up Spring Festival couplets, and introduced the origin and traditional customs of Spring Festival to them in detail.
